Get Funky this Spring at the DC Funk Parade in Downtown Washington D.C.
Come out and get funky with us at the annual DC Funk Parade, finally back after a two-year hiatus. The DC Funk Parade is brought to you by The Musicianship organization, with the primary goal of celebrating great music, and the culture of the iconic U Street corridor, also sometimes referred to as the “Black Broadway”.
The event is held on April 30th and lasts until May 7, so plenty of time for you to pop out there and see what this music festival is truly about. The Funk parade titled “The Magic of Music” this year will be held on the first day of the festival and is celebrated with a Funk Parade Beer Release, with a brand new flavor of beer created just for this event. The following days will include other fun activities like a mural walk, and even a free day festival dedicated to the entire community. To top it all off, all of the proceeds from the beer and parade will go to help fund local music education programs, so come out and support this great cause!
